A classic masterpiece by Thornton Wilder
“Do any human beings ever
realize life while they live it?
– Every, every minute?”Emily Webb
This Thanksgiving, November 24-27th 2016, come celebrate the importance of family life at BEAT’s (Brussels English Actors Theater) debut production of Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Our Town.
Presented in its original English language, this clear and simple masterpiece chronicles the daily life of two close-knit families. Interweaving past and present, Our Town reveals universal truths that connect us all. Produced by the Flanders Acting Studio as a celebration of its 10th successful year in Brussels, and directed by John Flanders, 20 international actors will bring this classic to life. It is a play for all ages with a message that is still relevant – perhaps even more so today – in this rapidly changing and complex world.
We hope that you, like us, will come away from this production feeling as though you know the answer to the question that Emily raises: “Do any human beings ever realize life as they live it – every, every minute?”
